Percepción del entorno socio-deportivo y hábitos de vida en estudiantes de 14 a 19 años pertenecientes al ciclo de enseñanza media municipal en la Provincia de Linares

Abstract

In this study the direct incidentes of the application of the educational model are reflected, the technological progress and the standards of life of a model of free consumption over the social actions within the sport activity of students in municipal average education of the Province of Linares, Region of the Maule, Chile.
Taking a representative sample from the commune of Linares, with a total of 146 cases taken at random, a perception survey was applied reflecting the interests, and realities that school kids undergo in their normal development. The collected data indicate a 94.5% of sedentary attitudes between the students of fluctuating ages of 14 to 19 years, reflecting single an effective and constant participation of a 12.3% of them in sport activities and a 13% in physical activities. The perception of the individual is reflected with worrisome numbers since it is observed that a 40,4% of the respondents do not feel satisfied with their body, a 43.1% have problems to make a physical effort and a 8,9% claim to have constrains to develop physical activity. Deteriorating the opportunities progressively to maintain a socialization, a loss in its health, its self-esteem and constant integral development. At the level of socio-sport environment, 64,4% of the cases indicate not to have any participation in sports selections nor in sports workshops, a 45.9% indicate that it prefers to make sport activities outdoors, and a 49.3% indicated that it is an increasing necessity generating new spaces joining the social and the sports activities. At a personal level, the constrains mentioned indicated that a 51,7% of the individuals have always been affected by the complete school day and a 71,9% stated that because of studies did not practice any kind of sport.
