Publication Ethics
The ethics statements for our journal are based on the texts of the Committee on Publication Ethics (Code of Conduct and Best Practices Guidelines for Journals Editors, COPE), International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICJME), regarding research with human beings. adhere to the Declaration of Helsinki and must be assumed by all parties involved in the act of publication (the author(s), the editor(s), the reviewer(s) and the director of the journal).
Thus REVISTACAF.UCM guarantees the adequate response to the needs of readers and authors, ensuring the quality of what is published, protecting and respecting the content of the articles and their integrity. The editorial team undertakes to publish relevant corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when necessary.
In compliance with these good practices, REVISTACAF.UCM has published the arbitration system it adopts for the selection of articles, as well as the evaluation criteria that must be applied by external evaluators - anonymous and in pairs. REVISTACAF.UCM keeps these criteria updated, based exclusively on the scientific relevance of the article, originality, clarity and relevance of the work presented.
Responsibilities

Receive, review, manage, decide, select, reproduce and upload the magazine via Open Access. He is responsible for each article published. It will be strict and rigorous about the quality of each article, demand academic excellence, consider the procedures and deadlines committed for evaluation and publication and always be ready to send corrections, clarifications, retractions and eventually apologize if necessary.
From the Editorial Committee
Permanently review compliance with the ethical principles of the journal, notify the editor if errors are found in the publication, ensure the quality of the journal in its formal and content aspects.
From the Scientific Committee
Support and guide the academic activity of the journal, by persuading about general decisions and key areas for its strategic development.
From the reviewers
Editorial decisions are made based on double-blind review. If a selected referee does not feel qualified to evaluate an article or feels that there is some type of conflict of interest, he must inform the editor. Likewise, the editor should be notified if evidence of plagiarism or academic malpractice is found. Comments on an article made by referees must be objective, based on scientific arguments and excluding any type of personal judgment about the author.
When a referee invited to evaluate an article knows that timely review will be impossible, he or she must immediately notify the Editor.
From the authors
Authors must follow the journal's publication guidelines. Articles must be original and promote scientific discussion. References must be properly cited to avoid plagiarism.
Articles should not be submitted to more than one journal at a time, as such this behavior is unethical and unacceptable.
Authors must give appropriate recognition to the sources and citations they have used for their work and include exclusively in the bibliography the texts used and cited in their article.
Accept the intellectual property rights policy of the journal, and undergo the peer evaluation process, correcting the work according to the observations received
The Editorial Board assumes that the article presented is the final version.
Authorship of an article should be limited to those who have contributed significantly to its production.
The authors must acknowledge any type of financial support that affects the results of the research.
If the author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in the article, he or she must inform the editor for immediate correction.
For articles that report empirical research results, the authors must declare the approval of their institution's ethics committee and the informed consent of the participants.
Criteria to regulate the ethical performance of the publication
Transparency: The journal's editorial policy, peer review process, manuscript evaluation criteria and responsibilities of the editor, editorial committees, evaluators and authors are published.
Claims: The journal follows the procedure established in the COPE flow chart. The mechanism for expressing complaints is to send an email to the editor of the magazine. The editor must respond promptly.
Promoting academic integrity: the editor will ensure that the research material published complies with internationally accepted ethical guidelines.
Protection of individual data: Publishers must protect the confidentiality of individual information.
Monitoring of inappropriate conduct: the editor has the duty to act if he/she suspects inappropriate conduct (plagiarism, falsification of data, works previously published in other media, undeclared conflicts of interest, non-recognition of the corresponding authorship, among others). others). She has the duty not only to reject articles that fail to comply with ethical standards, but also to follow up on alleged cases of inappropriate conduct. This implies, first of all, seeking a response from the accused. If he/she is not satisfied with the response, he/she should ask employers or a regulatory body to investigate the situation. He must make all reasonable attempts to persist in obtaining a solution to the problem.
Editorial independence: The editor must make decisions about which articles to publish based on their quality and suitability, rather than based on the economic or political benefits that this may bring.
Conflict of interest: The editor must have systems to manage his/her own conflicts of interest, as well as those of his/her staff, authors, reviewers, and editorial board members.
REVISTACAF.UCM guarantees at all times the confidentiality of the evaluation process: the anonymity of the evaluators and authors; the content evaluated; the reasoned report issued by the evaluators and any other communication issued by the editorial team, if applicable.
Likewise, possible clarifications, claims or complaints that an author wishes to send to the journal committees or to the reviewers of the article are subject to maximum confidentiality.
REVISTACAF.UCM declares its commitment to the respect and integrity of the works already published. For this reason, plagiarism is strictly prohibited and texts that are identified as plagiarism or whose content is fraudulent will be eliminated or not published in REVISTACAF.UCM. The Revista Ciencias de la Actividad Fisica UCM will act in these cases as quickly as possible. By accepting the terms and agreements expressed by our journal, authors must guarantee that the article and the materials associated with it are original or do not infringe copyright.
